Together

Together by ceramic artist Brandon Reese opens this Friday, July 8th from 4-7pm

“My work is motivated by life. An amalgamation of memories, images, and relationships inspire all that I do. My fascination with architecture and patterns in life and in nature become the language that exposes my intrigue with the elements in relationships that connect distinctive individuals making them function like a unit.”

Working primarily in stoneware and porcelain,  Brandon received his BFA in sculpture from the Kansas City Art Institute where he become proficient in bronze, cast iron, steel, wood and ceramics.  Although most of Reese’s works are ceramic sculpture, he balances teaching the hand-building techniques with wheel throwing pottery and functional vessels. Reece’s work drives curiosity as he pushes the boundaries of ceramic art, conceptually mixing other individual elements such as wood, unifying the media in the work to create a powerfully emotional and visual experience.

This unifying rises the entire theme of Reese’s upcoming show at Susan Eddings Perez Gallery, emotionally titled Together.
With over 20 pieces on display, entering the world of Brandon Reese’s conceptual sculptures will be mind-expanding and grounding. After all, with so much diversity in ceramic sculpture and the unifying of other unique mediums, Reece is bringing more than his artwork Together.

Come meet the artist, and explore these incredible works that defy space and push the boundaries of ceramics.

All are welcome!

Together runs through August 5th.
